The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ (9) (Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His spirit, and He made for you the hearing, the sight, and the hearts. Little gratitude do you show. (32:9))
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: then He fashioned the human being, whose creation He had begun from clay, into a well-formed, balanced creation, وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ (and breathed into him of His spirit), so that he became living and speaking. وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالأبْصَارَ وَالأفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ (and He made for you the hearing, the sight, and the hearts; little gratitude do you show) — He says: and your Lord bestowed upon you the favor, O people, by giving you the hearing with which you hear the sounds, and the sight with which you see the persons, and the hearts with which you distinguish good from evil, so that you would thank Him for what He has granted you of that. And His statement قَلِيلا ما تَشْكُرُونَ (little gratitude do you show) — He says: and you thank your Lord with only little gratitude for the favors He has bestowed upon you.
