His word: fa-aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa-ntaẓir innahum muntaẓirūn ("So turn away from them and wait; indeed, they too are waiting") — He says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: Turn away, O Muḥammad, from these polytheists against Allah (mushrikīn), who say to you: "When is this victory coming?", while they incite you toward the punishment. And wait for what Allah will do with them; indeed, they are waiting for that which you hold out to them as punishment (ʿadhāb) and for the arrival of the Hour.
As: Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: fa-aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa-ntaẓir innahum muntaẓirūn ("So turn away from them and wait; indeed, they too are waiting") — that is to say: the Day of Resurrection.
Here ends the tafsīr of Sūrah al-Sajda. To Allah belong praise and favour.
