And His statement: wa-ammā alladhīna fasaqū ("But as for those who were immersed in corruption") — the Exalted, Whose praise is exalted, says: but as for those who did not believe in Allah (kāfir) and turned away from obedience to Him, fa-maʾwāhumu al-nār ("their abode is the Fire") — He says: their dwellings, to which they take refuge in the Hereafter, are the Fire (al-nār). kullamā arādū an yakhrujū minhā uʿīdū fīhā wa-qīla lahum dhūqū ʿadhāba al-nāri alladhī kuntum bihi ("Every time they wish to escape from it, they are returned into it, and it is said to them: 'Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to') in the worldly life tukadhdhibūn ("deny'") — namely, that Allah has prepared it for those who ascribed partners to Him (shirk).

* Mention of who said that:
Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: wa-ammā alladhīna fasaqū ("But as for those who were immersed in corruption") — those who ascribed partners (ashrakū); wa-qīla lahum dhūqū ʿadhāba al-nāri alladhī kuntum bihi tukadhdhibūn ("and it is said to them: 'Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny'") — and the people deny, as you see.
