The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ ("Verily, those who believe and perform righteous deeds, for them are the Gardens of bliss") (31:8).
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: إنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ("verily, those who believe") — in Allah, and thus declared Him to be one alone, and held His Messenger to be truthful and followed him — وَعمِلُوا الصَّالحَاتِ ("and perform righteous deeds") — He says: and thus obeyed Allah, and acted according to what He commanded them in His Book and through the mouth of His Messenger, and refrained from that which He restrained them from — لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيم ("for them are the Gardens of bliss") — He says: for these are the gardens of bliss.
