That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ (30:45) ("That He may reward those who believe and perform righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not love the disbelievers.")
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ ("On that Day they shall separate") ... لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ("that He may reward those who believe") in Allah and His Messenger, وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ("and perform righteous deeds") — that is to say: and acted according to what Allah commanded them, مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ("out of His bounty") which He promised to whoever obeyed Him in the worldly life, that He would reward him on the Day of Resurrection.
إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ ("Indeed, He does not love the disbelievers") — the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: He granted His reward out of His bounty only to those who believed and performed righteous deeds, and not to whoever rejected Allah; indeed, He does not love the people who disbelieve in Him (kāfir). And He recommenced the statement with His saying إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ, in which lies the meaning that I have described.
