Tafseer of The Romans · Ar-Room · 30:22

And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.

The exposition of the words of the Exalted: (22) ("And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and your colors. Indeed, in that are signs for those who possess knowledge") (30:22).

The Exalted, whose praise is sublime, says: And among His proofs and indications — likewise — that nothing can render Him incapable, and that He, when He wills, causes to die whoever of His creatures was living, ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْشَرَهُ ("then, when He wills, He raises him up") and brings him back as he was before He caused him to die — among them is His creation of the heavens and the earth out of nothing that He had previously brought forth for that purpose; rather, by His power, for which nothing that He wills is impossible. ( وَاخْتِلافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ ) ("and the difference of your languages"). He says: and the difference of the speech of your tongues and their languages. ( وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ ) ("and your colors"). He says: and the difference of the colors of your bodies. ( إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ ) ("indeed, in that are signs for those who possess knowledge"). He says: indeed, in that acting of His in that manner there are lessons and proofs for His creatures who comprehend through reason that it is not burdensome for Him to restore them to the form in which they were before their death, after their decay. And we have already expounded the meaning of ( الْعَالِمِينَ ) ("those who possess knowledge") earlier.
