"And as for those whose faces have turned white" — namely those who remained steadfast upon the covenant of Allah and His pact, and who did not exchange their religion, and who did not turn back upon their heels after the acknowledgment of the oneness (tawḥīd) and the testimony before their Lord concerning the divinity, and that there is no god but Him — "they are in the mercy of Allah", that is to say: they abide in the mercy of Allah, namely: in His paradise (janna) and the bliss thereof, and in that which Allah has prepared therein for its dwellers — "they will abide therein forever", that is to say: they remain therein for all time, without end and without limit.
