The word of Allah, the Exalted:
Allah, the Exalted, says: وَقَالَ مُوسَى — in answer to Pharaoh: رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ — "My Lord knows best which of us, O Pharaoh, brings the truth and which the falsehood, and who it is that has been granted right guidance upon the path of what is correct and the clear proof from His side, and which of us will have the praiseworthy final abode in the Hereafter." This is a rejoinder from the prophet of Allah Mūsā, peace be upon him, to Pharaoh, and a most excellent manner of address, because he refrained from saying: "No, it is the one who has misled his people, destroyed his troops, and led his followers astray — that is you, not I." Instead he said: Then he reached the utmost depth of censure of the enemy of Allah in the most excellent manner, saying: إِنَّهُ لا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ — that is to say: those who disbelieve in Allah, the Exalted, do not succeed and do not attain their goal. By this he means Pharaoh — that he will have no success on account of his disbelief.
