His statement: أَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ — Allah the Exalted says: do these deniers of Our signs then not see how We alternate the night and the day, and how We make a distinction between them, by making this [the night] a time of rest — a time in which they rest and their bodies recover from the fatigue of movement and the alternation of activity during the day — and by making that [the day] light so that in it they may see and behold things and move about therein in pursuit of their livelihood? Would they not reflect upon this, consider it, and realize that the One who ordains this in such a manner is He beyond Whose reach no single thing falls, for Whom it is not difficult to cause the living to die and to bring the dead back to life after their death — just as little as it was difficult for Him to make the day vanish and bring the night, and to make the night vanish and bring the day, despite their mutual difference of state? إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ — Allah the Exalted says: truly, in Our making of the night a time of rest and the day a time of light is a sign for whoever believes in Allah, concerning His power over that which they believe regarding the Resurrection after death, and a proof for them concerning the oneness of Allah.
