And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.

And His saying: وَلا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ (and do not grieve over them): Allah, exalted be His remembrance, says to His prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: do not grieve over the turning away of these polytheists from you and their denying of you; وَلا تَكُنْ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ (and let not your breast be straitened by what they plot): he says: let not your breast be straitened by their scheming against you — for Allah will give you victory over them and will kill them with the sword.
