Tafseer of The Ant · An-Naml · 27:3
Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

And His statement وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ: he says: and they are — alongside performing the prayer (ṣalāh) and paying the obligatory alms (zakāh) — certain that after death they will return to Allah, and they submit in obedience to Allah, hoping for His abundant reward and fearing His grievous punishment. They are not like those who deny the resurrection and are unconcerned whether they do good or evil, obey or disobey — for when they do good they hope for no reward, and when they do evil they fear no punishment.
By His statement الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ: he says: it is a guidance and glad tidings for whoever believes in it and maintains the ritual prayer (ṣalāh) with its prescribed ordinances. And His statement وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ: he says: they pay the obligatory zakāh. It has also been said that the meaning is: they purify their bodies from the defilement of acts of disobedience.
We have already expounded that previously in a manner that makes repeating it in this place unnecessary.
