أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ

    you and your earliest forefathers" — by "the earliest ones" he means: the preceding generations of those whom Ibrāhīm was addressing, namely the first to come who were before them and who were in the same condition as those whom Ibrāhīm was addressing — the worship of idols.
