قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."

    قَالَ (He said) — Pharaoh to them — نَعَمْ (yes), you will receive the reward for that — وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ (and you will then surely be among those brought near) to us. Then they said to Moses: either you cast, or we are the ones who cast — and the mention of what they said has been omitted because Allah's report concerning them that Moses said to them "cast what you are going to cast" already indicates that this is its meaning.

    ( قال ) فرعون لهم ( نَعَمْ ) لكم الأجر على ذلك ( وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ ) منا. فقالوا عند ذلك لموسى: إما أن تلقي, وإما أن نكون نحن الملقين, وترك ذكر قيلهم ذلك لدلالة خبر الله عنهم أنهم قال لهم موسى: ألقوا ما أنتم ملقون, على أن ذلك معناه ف.
