The Exalted says in His mention: فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ (And when the magicians came) to Pharaoh, for the appointment with Mūsā and the gathering that Pharaoh had fixed, قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا (they said to Pharaoh: Will there indeed be a reward for us) for our magic that we perform for you, إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ (if we are the ones who prevail) — over Mūsā?
