فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

So fear Allah and obey me.

    Allah, exalted be His mention, conveys what Hūd said to his people from ʿĀd: Fear, O people, the punishment of Allah by being obedient to Him in what He commands you and forbids you, and cease from play and amusement, from wronging people and dominating them by force, and from spreading corruption upon the earth.

    يقول تعالى ذكره مخبرا عن قيل هود لقومه من عاد: اتقوا عقاب الله أيها القوم بطاعتكم إياه فيما أمركم ونهاكم, وانتهوا عن اللهو واللعب, وظلم الناس, وقهرهم بالغلبة والفساد في الأرض.
