Allah the Exalted says: in what Ibrāhīm advanced as proofs against his people — the proofs that We have mentioned from him — there is a clear, manifest sign for whoever takes a lesson, from which it is evident that the way of Allah with His creatures who tread the path of the people of Ibrāhīm — through the worship of the idols and the gods and the following of them therein — is the same as what He carried out with them in the Hereafter: namely the casting down of them and all that they had worshipped apart from Him, together with the hosts of Iblīs, into the Hellfire (al-jaḥīm). And the majority of them, in His foreknowledge, were not believers.
