The Exalted and Praised says: And put your trust, O Muḥammad, in Him whose life is everlasting, unaccompanied by death — rely upon Him in the matter of your Lord, commit it to Him, submit yourself to Him, and bear patiently whatever befalls you therein. His word: وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ (and glorify Him with His praise) — he means: and worship Him as thanks on your part to Him for the favors He has bestowed upon you. His word: وَكَفَى بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا (and it is sufficient that He is fully aware of the sins of His servants) — he means: it is sufficient that the Living One who does not die is fully aware of the sins of His creation, for nothing of it is hidden from Him; He enumerates them all against them until He requites them for it on the Day of Resurrection.
