That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

His statement لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا (that Allah may reward them for the best of what they did) — that is to say: they did this — meaning: that neither commerce nor sale distracted them from the remembrance of Allah, that they performed the prayer, paid the zakāt, and obeyed their Lord — out of fear of His punishment on the Day of Judgment, so that Allah would reward them on the Day of Judgment for the best of their works in this world, and would, beyond that, give them out of His abundance even more than the reward for their best works — so that He bestows upon them, out of His magnanimity, the honor that He deems pleasing for them.
His statement وَاللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ (and Allah provides for whom He wills without reckoning) — Allah, exalted be His praise, says: He grants whom He wills and intends, out of His abundance and His honoring, what he did not earn through his works and did not attain through his obedience. بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ — that is to say: without any accounting of what He has granted and given him.
