Allah — exalted is His mention — says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: Say, O Muḥammad: Who is the One in whose hand are the treasuries of all things?
Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr related to me, saying: Abū ʿĀṣim related to us, saying: ʿĪsā related to us; and al-Ḥārith related to me, saying: al-Ḥasan related to us, saying: Warqāʾ related to us — all on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, concerning the word of Allah مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ (the malakūt of all things), he said: the treasuries of all things.
Al-Qāsim related to us, saying: al-Ḥusayn related to us, saying: Ḥajjāj related to me, on the authority of Mujāhid, concerning the word of Allah: قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ (Say: Who is the One in whose hand is the malakūt of all things?), he said: the treasuries of all things.
And His word وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ (and He grants protection) — whoever among His servants seeks protection against the one who wishes him harm — وَلا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ (but none can be granted protection against Him), that is to say: there is no one who can resist the one whom He Himself wishes to harm, so as to ward off His chastisement and punishment from himself. إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (if you know) — His attribute. For they will say: The malakūt of all things and dominion over all affairs belongs to Allah.
