Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord

The Exalted — exalted be His remembrance — means by His words: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ — indeed those who, out of fear of and dread toward the punishment of Allah, are filled with awe, and who on account of that ceaselessly practice His obedience and earnestly devote themselves to seeking His good pleasure.
