Allah, exalted is His remembrance, says: O you who have believed in Allah and His Messenger — ارْكَعُوا ("bow down") to Allah in your prayer, وَاسْجُدُوا ("and prostrate yourselves") to Him therein. وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ ("And worship your Lord") — He says: submit to your Lord and kneel before Him in obedience to what your Lord has commanded you to do. لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ("That you may succeed") — He says: that you may thereby succeed and thereby attain what you seek with your Lord.
