That is because Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and because Allah is Hearing and Seeing.

Allah, exalted is His mention, means by His word (ذَلِكَ — "that"): this victory which I grant him over the one who wronged him, over the wrongdoer — for I am the All-Powerful over whatever I will. Among His Omnipotence is that Allah causes the night to penetrate into the day: He means by this that He brings whatever decreases of the hours of the night into the hours of the day — what decreases from the one is added to the other. وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ ("And He causes the day to penetrate into the night") — He brings whatever decreases of the hours of the day into the hours of the night, so that what decreases from the length of the one is added to the length of the other. And by that Omnipotence with which He does this, He grants Muḥammad ﷺ and his companions victory over those who wronged them and drove them out of their dwellings and possessions. وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ ("And that Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing") — He says: And He did this also because He is All-Hearing of what they say; none of it is hidden from Him, and All-Seeing of what they do; nothing escapes Him. All of this takes place under His sight and hearing, and He keeps account of all of it, until He will requite them all for what they have said and done, each according to his measure.
