Allah, exalted be His remembrance, says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: The polytheists of your people have said to you: we will never believe you until you bore out for us from our ground a spring that flows and gushes forth with water — or until you have a garden, that is to say: a paradise-garden (janna), of palm-trees and grapevines, and you then cause rivers to spring forth running through the midst of it in our land — khilālahā tafjīran means: in between them, at the feet of the palm-trees and the grapevines, gushing forth with force through the intervention of its structures. His words khilālahā tafjīran mean: in between them, amid their roots.
