So they will deny what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.

لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ (That they may be ungrateful for what We have given them) — that is to say: they do this — namely, the ascribing of partners to Allah after the favour — so that they may thereby carry out their ingratitude toward the bounties We have bestowed upon them. فَتَمَتَّعُوا (Then enjoy yourselves): this is a threatening command — that is to say: enjoy, then, the worldly life and its adornments. فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ (For you shall come to know) — that is to say: you shall soon know the consequence of your ingratitude toward Allah's bounties, and the end of your indulgence in worldly pleasures — for that is the torment of the Fire (al-nār).
