﴿ ثُمَّ إِذَا كَشَفَ الضُّرَّ عَنْكُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْكُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ ﴾ (Then, when He removes the affliction from you, behold: a group of you ascribe partners to their Lord) — Allah, exalted be His mention, says: Then, however, when We have removed from you the affliction and the harm that befell you, a number of you return to their customary behavior — they turn their backs on obedience to Allah and associate partners with Him, while they offer sacrifices to other gods and worship the idols, and they forget the kindness that Allah bestowed upon them when they called upon Him in their distress.
