Allah, exalted be His remembrance, says: Allah said to His servants: Do not take any partner unto Me, O people, and do not worship two gods. For when you worship another besides Me, you have ascribed a partner to Me — and I have no partner. There is but one God and one Worshipped One, and I am He. (So fear Me alone) — He says: So fear Me alone, and fear My punishment for your disobedience to Me, if you disobey Me and worship someone other than Me, or add a partner alongside Me in your worship of Me.
