[They are] those who endured patiently and upon their Lord relied.

Allah the Exalted says: these whom We have described with the qualities We mentioned, and to whom We gave the reward We set forth — they are the ones who steadfastly persevered for the sake of Allah in what befell them in this worldly life. وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ — He says: and upon Allah they place their trust in their affairs, and upon Him they rely amid the adversities that befall them.
