[It is] so He will make clear to them [the truth of] that wherein they differ and so those who have disbelieved may know that they were liars.

Allah the Exalted says: rather, Allah will most surely raise up the one who dies — a promise binding upon Him as a reality — in order to make clear to these people who claim that Allah does not raise up the one who dies, and to others who differ concerning it, what Allah does with His creation after their perishing: bringing them to life. And so that those who denied this and rejected its reality will know that they lied in their statement: "Allah does not raise up the one who dies."
As Bishr related to us; he said: Yazīd related to us; he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِي يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ: he said: "for all people in general."
