Tabari (1 passage)

  1. Full Dutch translation of Tabari's text

Allah, exalted be His praise, says: Allah, who is your god, O mankind, knows what you conceal within yourselves of thoughts that you keep hidden from others, and what you make manifest with your tongues and limbs, and what you make known with your tongues, limbs, and deeds. He keeps precise account of all that, so that He may requite you for it on the Day of Judgment: the doer of good among you for his good deed, and the doer of evil among you for his evil deed. He will also call you to account for what gratitude has come from you in the life of this world for the favors He has bestowed upon you therein — both those which you have counted and those which you have not counted.
