Allah, the Exalted, says: Truly your Lord, after this, is forgiving and merciful toward those who were disobedient to Allah, who in their ignorance took upon themselves the committing of disobedience to Him and were reckless therein — but who afterward returned to obedience to Allah, showed repentance for it, sought forgiveness, and repented of it, after what had befallen them in committing the disobedience — and who made good by acting in accordance with what Allah loves and is pleased with. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنْ بَعْدِهَا — Allah says: Truly your Lord, O Muhammad, after their repentance to Him, لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ (is ever forgiving and merciful).
