And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.

Allah, exalted be His praise, says to His prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: و remember, O Muḥammad, إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ — (when your Lord said to the angels: truly, I am going to create a human being from ṣalṣāl, from stinking ḥamaʾ; and when I have fashioned him).
