And that is not difficult for Allah.

وَمَا ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ — He says: and to carry you away and destroy you, and to bring into being another creation in your place, is neither difficult nor impossible for Allah, for He is the All-Powerful over whatever He wills.
The Qurʾān reciters differed over the reading of His word أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ .
The general body of the Qurʾān reciters of the people of Medina and Basra, and some of the Kufans, read it as خَلَقَ on the pattern "faʿala" (He created — past tense).
The general body of the Qurʾān reciters of the people of Kufa read it as "khāliqun" on the pattern "fāʿilun" (Creator — active participle).
Both are well-established readings with which the imams of the Qurʾān reciters have recited; the two are close to each other in meaning, so whichever of the two the reciter recites, he has done correctly.
