And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

Ibn al-Muthanná related to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to me, saying: Dāwūd related to us, on the authority of ʿĀmir, on the authority of Masrūq, on the authority of ʿĀʾisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say frequently: "Subḥāna Llāhi wa-biḥamdih, wa-astaghfiru Llāha wa-atūbu ilayh." She said: I asked: O Messenger of Allah, I see you saying frequently: "Subḥāna Llāhi wa-biḥamdih, wa-astaghfiru Llāha wa-atūbu ilayh." He said: "My Lord told me that I would see a sign in my community; when I see it, I will say frequently: Subḥāna Llāhi wa-biḥamdih, wa-astaghfiruhu wa-atūbu ilayh — and I have seen it: إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ — the conquest of Mecca — وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا."
Ibn Wakīʿ related to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, saying: Dāwūd related to us, on the authority of al-Shaʿbī, on the authority of Masrūq, on the authority of ʿĀʾisha, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, likewise.
Ibn al-Muthanná related to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Wahhāb related to us, saying: Dāwūd related to us, on the authority of ʿĀmir, on the authority of ʿĀʾisha, who said: The Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to say frequently before his death: "Subḥāna Llāhi wa-biḥamdih" — then he mentioned it likewise.
Isḥāq ibn Shāhīn related to me, saying: Khālid related to us, on the authority of Dāwūd, on the authority of ʿĀmir, on the authority of Masrūq, on the authority of ʿĀʾisha, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, likewise.
Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, saying: Ibn Thawr related to us, on the authority of Maʿmar, on the authority of ʿIkrima, who said: When إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ said: "The help of Allah and the victory have come, and the people of Yemen have come." They said: O Prophet of Allah, and who are the people of Yemen? He said: "Hearts that are tender, natures that are yielding, faith (īmān) is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni." As for His words أَفْوَاجًا — its meaning according to the statements of the scholars has already been mentioned previously.
Al-Ḥārith related to me, saying: Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Al-Ḥasan related to us, saying: Warqāʾ related to us, on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, regarding فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا — he said: in throngs, throng after throng.
