Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

The exposition of the explanation of the word of Allah, exalted be His praise and hallowed be His names:
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ (1)
Allah, exalted be His mention, means by His word: Hast thou seen him who denies the Dīn — hast thou seen, O Muḥammad, the one who denies the reward of Allah and His punishment, so that he does not obey Him in His commands and His prohibitions.
That which we have said concerning this is also what the scholars of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl) have said.
*Mention of who said this:*
Muḥammad ibn Saʿd related to me, saying: my father related to me, saying: my uncle related to me, saying: my father related to me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, concerning His word: أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ — he said: "the one who denies the judgment of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
Al-Ḥārith related to me, saying: al-Ḥasan related to us, saying: Warqāʾ related to us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, concerning يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ — he said: "with the Reckoning."
Furthermore, it has been mentioned that this, in the reading of ʿAbd Allāh, reads: "أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ الدِّينَ" — so that the bāʾ in his reading functions as an expletive particle; its presence or absence in the sentence is equivalent.
