فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ — Pharaoh — Moses said: أَلْقُوا مَا أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ — your ropes and your staffs.

In the text there is an elided passage that has been omitted, namely: "and they brought him the sorcerers, and when the sorcerers came" — but reliance was placed on the indication contained in the words فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ, so that its mention was omitted.
Likewise, after the words أَلْقُوا مَا أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ there is also an elided passage that is not mentioned, namely: "and they cast their ropes and their staffs, and when they cast, Moses said" — but reliance was placed on the indication apparent from the visible part of the text, so that its mention was omitted.
