Tafseer of Jonas · Yunus · 10:70
[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment because they used to disbelieve

But for them there is enjoyment (matāʿ) in the worldly life, with which they amuse themselves, and a sufficient provision (balāgh) with which they hold out until the appointed term in which their destruction is written (63). ثم إلينا مرجعهم — He says: when the term that has been written for them comes to an end, their return and their destination is to Us (64). ثم نذيقهم العذاب الشديد — and that is their becoming in Hell (jahannam) (65). بما كانوا يكفرون — because of their disbelief (kufr) toward Allah in the worldly life: they denied His messengers and rejected His signs.

The nominative case of the word متاع comes about by means of an omitted word before it, either "that" (dhālika) or "this" (hādhā) (66).
