Tafseer of Jonas · Yunus · 10:32
For that is Allah, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?

The statement concerning the explanation of the words of the Exalted: فَذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ الْحَقِّ إِلا الضَّلالُ فَأَنَّى تُصْرَفُونَ (32)
(That is Allāh, your Lord, the True — so what is there after the Truth except misguidance? How then are you turned away?)
Abū Jaʿfar said: The Exalted — may His mention be praised — says to His creation: "O people, the One Who performs these deeds — Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth, Who controls the hearing and the eyes, Who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living, and Who directs the affair — That is اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الْحَقُّ (Allāh, your Lord, the True), concerning which there is no doubt. فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ الْحَقِّ إِلا الضَّلالُ — that is to say: what is there besides the Truth except misguidance, namely deviation from the straight path?"
He says: when the Truth is this, then your claim that something other than Him is a god or lord is misguidance and deviation from the Truth — concerning which there is no doubt. فَأَنَّى تُصْرَفُونَ — He says: in which direction, then, are you turned away from the guidance and the Truth, and what path other than those two do you tread, while you yourselves acknowledge that That from which you are turned away is the Truth?
