He was created from a fluid, ejected,

He said: خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ دَافِقٍ ("he is created from a gushing fluid"), that is to say: from a gushing fluid (māʾ madfūq). This belongs to what the Arabs have expressed with the form of the active participle (fāʿil), while it has the meaning of the passive participle (mafʿūl). And it is said: those among the Arab tribes who use this most are the inhabitants of the Ḥijāz, when it concerns a qualifying form, such as their expressions: "this is a hidden secret" (sirr kātim) and "a wearying care" (hamm nāṣib), and the like.
