And [by] the promised Day

His words: وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ("And by the promised Day"). The Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: And I swear by the Day that I have promised to My servants for the pronouncement of judgment between them, and that is the Day of Resurrection.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes (ahl al-taʾwīl) have spoken, and the report concerning this is transmitted from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Abū Kurayb related to us, saying: Ibn Numayr and Isḥāq al-Rāzī related to us, on the authority of Mūsā ibn ʿUbayda, on the authority of Ayyūb ibn Khālid, on the authority of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rāfiʿ, on the authority of Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The promised Day is the Day of Resurrection."
He said: Wakīʿ related to us, on the authority of Mūsā ibn ʿUbayda, on the authority of Ayyūb ibn Khālid, on the authority of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rāfiʿ, on the authority of Abū Hurayra, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, the like of it.
Yaʿqūb related to us, saying: Ibn ʿUlayya related to us, saying: Yūnus related to us, saying: ʿAmmār informed me, saying: Abū Hurayra said: "The promised Day is the Day of Resurrection." Yūnus said: and so also al-Ḥasan.
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ("And by the promised Day"), that is to say: the Day of Resurrection.
Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, saying: Ibn Thawr related to us, on the authority of Maʿmar, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His words: وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ("And by the promised Day"), he said: the Resurrection.
Yūnus related to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Ibn Zayd said: الْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ("the promised Day") is the Day of Resurrection.
Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Mihrān related to us, on the authority of Sufyān, on the authority of Yūnus ibn ʿUbayd, on the authority of ʿAmmār ibn Abī ʿAmmār, the mawlā of the Banū Hāshim, on the authority of Abū Hurayra: وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ("And by the promised Day") is the Day of Resurrection.
Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Mihrān related to us, on the authority of Mūsā ibn ʿUbayda, on the authority of Ayyūb ibn Khālid, on the authority of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rāfiʿ, on the authority of Abū Hurayra, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ: "The promised Day is the Day of Resurrection."
Muḥammad ibn ʿAwf related to us, saying: Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh related to us, saying: my father related to me, saying: Ḍamḍam ibn Zurʿa related to me, on the authority of Shurayḥ ibn ʿUbayd, on the authority of Abū Mālik al-Ashʿarī, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The promised Day is the Day of Resurrection."
