Tafseer of The Overthrowing · At-Takwir · 81:20
[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],

And His word: ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ("Endowed with power, with a secure position before the Lord of the Throne") (81:20). The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: "endowed with power" — by which Jibrāʾīl is meant — with respect to that with which he was charged, neither weak nor incapable. عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ("with a secure position before the Lord of the Throne") — He says: he occupies a secure, honored position before the Lord of the mighty Throne.
