The explanation of His word: ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ (51) (That is because of what your hands have sent forth, and because Allah is not unjust toward the servants.) (8:51)

Abū Jaʿfar said: The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says—while informing about the speech of the angels to those polytheists (mushrikīn) who were killed at Badr—that they say to them while striking their faces and their backs: "Taste the punishment of Allah that burns you"; this punishment is for you (because of what your hands have sent forth), that is: because of the sins and burdens your hands have earned, and the disobedience toward Allah that you committed during the days of your life. So taste the punishment today, and upon your return the punishment of the burning; and that is for you because Allah (is not unjust toward the servants), He does not punish any of His creatures except for a crime he has committed, and He does not torment him except for his disobedience to Him, for injustice cannot proceed from Him.

And in the fatḥa-ending of "anna" in His word (and because Allah) there are two possibilities of grammatical case (iʿrāb):

The first: the accusative (naṣb), and that is by conjunction (ʿaṭf) with "mā" in His word (because of what they have sent forth), with the meaning: (that is because of what your hands have sent forth), and because Allah is not unjust toward the servants—according to the statement of some; or the genitive (khafḍ), according to the statement of others.

The second: the nominative (rafʿ), on the basis of (that is because of what they have sent forth), and that is because Allah.
