Thus do We deal with the criminals.

( كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ ) [Thus do We deal with the criminals] means: just as We destroyed these for their disbelief in Me and their denial of My messengers, so is My fixed way (sunna) with their like among the disbelieving nations: We destroy the criminals for their crimes, when they transgress and commit injustice.
