Then, did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them at night while they were asleep?

أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ (97) ("Do the people of the towns then feel secure that Our punishment will come upon them by night while they sleep?" (7:97))
