Tafseer of The Heights · Al-A'raaf · 7:144

قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّى ٱصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِرِسَٰلَٰتِى وَبِكَلَٰمِى فَخُذْ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

[Allah] said, "O Moses, I have chosen you over the people with My messages and My words [to you]. So take what I have given you and be among the grateful."

    The explanation of His word: قَالَ يَا مُوسَى إِنِّي اصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسَالاتِي وَبِكَلامِي فَخُذْ مَا آتَيْتُكَ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ (144) ("He said: O Mūsā, I have chosen you above mankind with My messages and with My word; so take what I have given you and be among the thankful." (144))

    Abū Jaʿfar said: The Exalted, whose praise is proclaimed, says — Allah said to Mūsā: "O Mūsā, I have chosen you above mankind," that is to say: I have elected you over mankind = "with My messages" to My creatures, which I have caused you to convey to them = "and with My word," I have spoken to you and conversed intimately with you, to the exclusion of others among My creatures. = "So take what I have given you," He says: take what I have bestowed upon you of My command and My prohibition, and hold fast to it, and act according to it [...] = "and be among the thankful," toward Allah for what He has given you of His message, and with which He has distinguished you through the intimate discourse, namely by obeying Him in His command and His prohibition, and by hastening toward His good pleasure.

    القول في تأويل قوله : قَالَ يَا مُوسَى إِنِّي اصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسَالاتِي وَبِكَلامِي فَخُذْ مَا آتَيْتُكَ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ (144) قال أبو جعفر: يقول تعالى ذكره، قال الله لموسى: " يا موسى إني اصطفيتك على الناس "، يقول: اخترتك على الناس (1) = " برسالاتي" إلى خلقي, أرسلتك بها إليهم = " وبكلامي"، كلمتك وناجيتك دون غيرك من خلقي. = " فخذ ما آتيتك " يقول: فخذ ما أعطيتك من أمري ونهيي وتمسك به, واعمل به [...] (2) = " وكن من الشاكرين "، لله على ما آتاك من رسالته, وخصك به من النجوى، (3) بطاعته في أمره ونهيه، والمسارعة إلى رضاه. -------------------- الهوامش : (1) (1) انظر تفسير (( الاصطفاء )) فيما سلف 3 : 91 ، 96 / 5 : 312 / 6 : 326 ، 393 .
