The statement concerning the explanation of His words: يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ (112) ("that they may bring to you every learned sorcerer.") (7:112)
Abū Jaʿfar said: This is a report from Allah, whose praise is exalted, concerning the counsel of the eminent assembly from the people of Firʿawn to Firʿawn, namely that he should send out gatherers into the cities who would round up every learned sorcerer.

And in the wording something has been omitted, where the indication of what is apparent has been deemed sufficient in place of stating it explicitly, namely: so send out gatherers into the cities, who will round up the sorcerers.
