wa-innahu la-ḥasratun ʿalā al-kāfirīn (And indeed it is a [source of] regret for the unbelievers). The Exalted in praise says: and the denial of it is indeed a [source of] regret and remorse for those who reject the Qurʾān on the Day of Resurrection.

And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes have spoken.

    * Mention of who said that:

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning wa-innahu la-ḥasratun ʿalā al-kāfirīn (And indeed it is a [source of] regret for the unbelievers): that is on the Day of Resurrection.
