He, exalted is His mention, says: He created the seven heavens and the earth with justice and equity, and He fashioned you. He says: And He gave you form and made your form excellent. And it has been said that what is meant by this is the fashioning of Adam, and his creation by Him with His own hand.
* Mention of who said that:
Muḥammad ibn Saʿd related to me, saying: my father related to me, saying: my uncle related to me, saying: my father related to me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās: (He created the heavens and the earth with the truth and He fashioned you and made your forms excellent); he means Adam, whom He created with His own hand.
And His saying: (And to Him is the return) — He says: And to Allah is the return of you all, O mankind.
