He, exalted be His mention, says: everything in the seven heavens glorifies Allah, and everything in the earths of His creation, and exalts Him willingly and unwillingly. الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ("the King, the Most Holy") — the One to whom belongs the sovereignty of this world and the Hereafter and the dominion over both, whose command takes effect in the heavens and the earth and what is in them; the Most Holy: that is the Pure One, free from all that the polytheists (mushrikīn) ascribe to Him and with which they describe Him of what does not belong to His attributes, the Blessed. الْعَزِيزِ ("the Almighty") — He means the Severe in His retribution against His enemies. الْحَكِيم ("the All-Wise") in His disposing of His creation and His governance of them in what He best knows of their interests.
