The explanation of His statement, the Exalted: هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ ("He is Allah, beside Whom there is no god but He, the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; He is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful") (22).
The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: The One out of fear of Whom the mountain bursts apart, O people, He is the Worshipped One, the One to Whom no worship and no divinity are due except to Him alone; the Knower of the unseen (ghayb) of the heavens and the earth, and the Witness of what is therein of what is seen and perceived. هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ ("He is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful"). He says: He is the Most Compassionate of this world and the Hereafter, Merciful toward the people who believe in Him.
