The explanation of His words, the Exalted: سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (1) (All that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.) (59:1)
He, exalted is His praise, means by His words: ( سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ ) (glorifies Allah), that which prays to Allah and prostrates itself before Him, ( مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأرْضِ ) (all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth) of His creation, ( وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ) (and He is the Almighty, the All-Wise). He says: and He is the Almighty in His retribution upon those of His creation whom He punishes for their disobedience to Him, the All-Wise in His disposing of them.
